When Morgan and Ben reached out to me to photograph their destination wedding, on the beach, at sunset, in Port St. Joe, Florida, how could I possibly say no? This was one of the rare times that a sunset wedding on the water actually turned out perfectly. Except for a little wind--but that always happens in the evening--everything went smoothly for this amazing couple.
Morgan selected a gorgeous dress with beautiful chiffon, beading, and tulle that would catch the wind at the beach.
Morgan's sister, Lorraine, served not only as Morgan's Matron of Honor, but also expertly applied Morgan's makeup.
Here, one of Morgan's adorable nephews prepares for his important role in her wedding.
The time is getting close, and the dress goes on...
Meanwhile, Ben and his father are ready and waiting...
Photographs begin on the water before the service...
I was asked to please add an image of the violist, Grace Walker, who played so beautifully for the wedding. Music selections included: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach); Minuet II in D Minor by Bach, Gigue (Cello Suite) also by Bach, and of course, the Wedding March ("Treulich geführt" from the 1850 opera, Lohengrin) by Wagner.
One of my favorite images is when the groom sees his bride. Ben's look says it all, don't you think?
One image from the wedding. I had never seen the double cross ceremony before but it was beautiful and perfect for this gulf coast wedding. And, Morgan and Ben will have a beautiful keepsake from their ceremony.
Sun-kissed beautiful bride...
I don't think we could have asked for a more beautiful sunset sky for this couple!
The lighthouse is one of their favorite memories from this area, as they watched as the lighthouse was moved farther from the coast to protect it. How wonderful that their cake cutting and toasting had such a beautiful backdrop.
And one of my favorites, a sparkler send-off!
Congratulations Morgan and Ben!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. Morgan and Ben are such an amazing couple, I feel blessed to have been asked to photograph their wedding, and meet their wonderful families. The weather (other than the wind) was gorgeous and I can't wait for Morgan and Ben to see the pages I am working on for their Italian crafted wedding album! It's going to be amazing!
